The Finnish Terminology Centre and the Institute of the Estonian Language started a joint development project in September. The aim of the project is to develop an operating model and an AI-based terminology collection tool that is able to handle large text resources in Estonian and Finnish. Data on AI-related concepts are collected from the test data in the development work, and terminologists process the data to be published on the platforms of the Terminology Centre and the Institute. Thus the project also enhances the availability of Estonian and Finnish AI terms.
The task of the Finnish Terminology Centre is to gather data and resources needed in developing a term collection tool, to test the tool and to edit the Finnish material. The project has received funding from the Easmus+ programme.
