The draft Glossary of Data and Information Models in Construction was prepared in 2025 on commission from the Ministry of the Environment. The draft contains 21 defined concepts presented in a concept diagram.
The purpose of the draft Glossary is to clarify the meaning and use of key concepts related to data and information models in house and infrastucture construction. The work to harmonise the draft Glossary with other glossaries in the field is still ongoing, so the draft is not yet fully compatible with other glossaries.
The draft Glossary was prepared by a working group consisting of experts from the City of Helsinki, Rakennustietomalli Oy, Sitowise Oy, Talonrakennusteollisuus ry and the Ministry of the Environment. A terminologist of the Finnish Terminology Centre guided the glossary group and took charge of the terminology aspect of the project.
