Nordterm 2021: Terminology Work and Information Management 1 – 2 June
Nordterm is the Nordic co-operation forum for organizations engaged in terminology work. Every other year, Nordterm arranges an event open for everybody interested in terminology, terminology work and its application in practice. The next event, Nordterm 2021, will take place on 1–2 June as a free-of-charge webinar with the theme 'Terminology Work and Information Management'. Nordterm 2021 will be organized by the Finnish Terminology Centre as the acting chair of Nordterm in collaboration with the University of Helsinki.
The focus on the Nordterm conferences is on utilizing the concept analysis method on terminology work, i.e. in clarifying concepts and their relations to each other. Terminology work can be used as a tool in various areas, such as developing information architecture, concept models, registries and other information systems, digital services, information description and artificial intelligence. As the amount of information increases constantly, there is a demand for better information management. Terminology work is one tool for meeting that demand.
Welcome to share your knowledge and learn from the others’ experiences at Nordterm 2021! We are calling for papers on utilizing concept work in different aspects of information management. The topics may vary from e.g. presenting projects in either public administration or corporate world to research on combining concept work with information management.
