Omnia commissioned the Finnish Terminology Centre for a terminology project in March 2023. The aim of the project is to provide definitions for some 20 concepts related to vocational education and training. The terms and concept descriptions will be given in Finnish.
The terminology work will be carried out by a terminologist of the Finnish Terminology Centre in close collaboration with subject field experts from the KARKKI project. The terminology will be ready in autumn 2023.

The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency and the Finnish Terminology Centre started a terminology project in October 2022. The aim of the project is to provide concept descriptions for approximately 20 concepts related to the maintenance of traffic routes. The aim of the glossary is to clarify the key concepts and harmonize the use of terms at the Agency. The terms and concept descriptions will be given only in Finnish.
The Finnish Heritage Agency commissioned the Finnish Terminology Centre for a terminology project in June 2022. The aim of the project is to provide definitions for some 50 concepts related to the cultural heritage of churches. The terms and concept descriptions will be given in Finnish. The Ontology for Museum Domain and Applied Arts (MAO/TAO) will also be updated during the project.
For a special field glossary to serve its purpose, it must be prepared carefully and by using the general principles and methods of terminology work. Of these methods, the most central are concept analysis and terminological data management based on knowledge of the structures in terminological data.
