The Cybersecurity Glossary was prepared on commission from the National Cyber Security Office based at the Ministry of Transport and Communications. The glossary contains 60 key concepts with terminological descriptions. It also recommends which Finnish terms should be used, and includes Swedish and English equivalents.
The purpose of the glossary is to clarify and define concepts so that they can be used consistently in different contexts.
The glossary replaces an earlier version published in 2018.
The glossary was developed in cooperation with several government authorities. Specialists from the Finnish Terminology Centre coordinated the working group and carried out the terminology work involved in preparing the glossary. The Translation and language services of the Prime Minister’s Office were reponsible for the Swedish and English terminology.
