EU Core Vocabularies in Finnish

Submitted by webmaster on

The Finnish Terminology Centre and the Digital and Population Data Services Agency began in November 2020 cooperation to define concepts of the EU Core Vocabularies. EU Core Vocabularies - Ehdotus suomenkieliseksi sanastoksi, a proposal for a Finnish vocabulary, contains the following vocabularies: Core Person Vocabulary, Core Public Organisation Vocabulary, Core Business Vocabulary as well as Core Criterion and Core Evidence Vocabulary. The proposal contains 90 concepts which have been given terms in Finnish, and most of them have also drafts for concept descriptions in Finnish.

The purpose of the Finnish vocabulary is to promote terminology work in the Finnish public administration and different domains and to facilitate the semantic interoperability of data.

The work was finished in March 2021, and the proposal has been published in the Terminologies tool.
