Classification of Buildings 2018
The Finnish Terminology Centre TSK participated in a project commissioned by the Statistics Finland to update the Classification of Buildings 1984. The new Classification of Buildings 2018 was published in December.

In February 2019, the Finnish Terminology Centre resumed the terminology work, launched in 2018 at the initiative of CSC (IT Centre for Science), which aims at providing descriptions for central concepts related to government subsidies. The terminology work aims to support a project whose objective is to develop and digitalise activities related to government subsidies. The responsibility of the preparation stage of the digitalisation project lies with the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture.

New and updated concepts:
The Nordic cooperation forum Nordterm organizes an assembly every second year. The next assembly will be held 11—14 June 2019 in Copenhagen. The assembly will be opened with a one-day course/workshop and the program will continue with a conference. The main theme chosen for this year's conference is Terminologiens rolle i sprogteknologiske applikationer som fx virtuelle assistenter og maskinoversættelse.
The 13th International TOTh Conference will be held on 6–7 June 2019 in Chambéry, France. The program will include a poster session as well as presentations and a guest lecture. The conference is meant for researchers, professionals and everyone interested in issues related to language and knowledge engineering.
The International Terminology Summer School (TSS) 2019 will take place 8-12 July 2019 in Vienna.
TSS is a one-week, practice-oriented training course covering a comprehensive overview of the methods and principles of terminology management. TSS is designed for language and terminology professionals, students and researchers who are looking for a comprehensive introduction to terminology management theory and practice.
The new ontology for traffic, Liikenteen ontologia LIIKO, has been published on the Finnish thesaurus and ontology service Finto. The ontology is built on the former Merenkulkualan ontologia MERO (ontology for seafaring).
